This is horrible, and yet, not at all surprising.

I recently visited and took a tour of the D.C. jail as part of my internship, and I saw the same thing.

It seemed like almost every individual I saw was a black man. I'm sure that even in jail, about 90% of individuals are black!

This is segregation, plain and clear. It's a mass roundup of all the black men in our neighborhoods deemed 'dangerous' by society's wealthy and powerful – the white men.

I don't know how this exists in our society. I am truly angered by this.
