Welcome to my blog! I’m Akhila Kolisetty, a Northwestern University undergrad studying Political Science and Economics. I am passionate about international human rights law and in the long run, hope to be armed with a JD and work on access to justice and rule of law initiatives in developing countries. Currently, my experience lies mostly in the arena of marketing and communications (with a focus on social media and Web 2.0) for nonprofits and I hope to work in this field after graduation (and pre-law school). I am also very interested in social entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, media, and writing. You can read more here.

Personally I love writing and blogging of all sorts, traveling across the globe, burying myself in books, writing poetry, and keeping up with art and fashion.

This blog is mostly my views on issues I care about, primarily human rights. I also write about social enterprise, social media, and my musings on work and life. This blog has been invaluable for me - it’s helped me grow intellectually, figure out what I’m most passionate about, connect with like-minded people, and jump headfirst into social media. But most of all, I want to encourage young people to care about & join in on the debate about human rights issues — so please do share your thoughts and engage in the conversation!
